The Best Beauty Looks From the British Fashion Awards 2022
This evening at London’s Royal Albert Hall, attendees of the British Fashion Awards 2022 stepped out to pay homage to the most influential of the style set—many with stylized beauty looks worthy of the occasion. Some, like Kristen McMenamy, drew inspiration from ensembles, her eyes bordered by lashes of pink plumage that played off her Valentino, as Florence Pugh’s slicked chop and crimson lip were the very embodiment of her gown from the same designer. Updos found a fan in Iris Law, who wore a textured, silver-touched serpentine ponytail, while Irina Shayk and Simone Ashley sported rumpled waves elevated by major eye moments. And for host Jodie Turner-Smith, green Gucci called for an icy buzz cut and seasonally frosty (and luminous) makeup touches.
“Don’t be into trends. Don’t make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express by the way you dress and the way to live.”

From Gucci to Richard Quinn, Fashion Awards Host Jodie Turner-Smith Delivered on Drama.
All eyes were on the red carpet at the British Fashion Awards 2022 presented by Diet Coke. Key fashion industry players—including British Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Edward Enninful—were all in attendance, promising a night of fabulous fashion.
The audience at the Royal Albert Hall was in the good hands of this year’s host, Jodie Turner-Smith, who orchestrated several costume changes throughout the evening; from Gucci on the red carpet to 16Arlington, Richard Quinn, and Robert Wun on stage.
The actor announced the recipients of the various awards, including Model of the Year, which was won by Bella Hadid, and the Designer of the Year, which was presented to Pierpaolo Piccioli by Florence Pugh, who was dressed in a ruby-red Valentino gown.
Trains were big news on the red carpet, championed by Adut Akech (Nensi Dojaka), Kristen McMenamy (Valentino), Jourdan Dunn (Stephane Rolland) and Lila Moss (Knwls). Sparkle was another common sighting, worn by Naomi Campbell, Simone Ashley and Stella Maxwell, among others.
Here, Vogue brings you the best dressed guests from the Fashion Awards red carpet.

It was the night before the British Fashion Awards and no creature was stirring… Not! The industry’s great and good put any notion of Sunday night blues to bed and turned out for British Vogue’s Forces For Change gala at The Londoner. Among the most outré looks of the night? Jodie Turner-Smith, who set the tone for her hosting gig at the Royal Albert Hall the following night in a Crayola-bright Molly Goddard dress that looked positively theatrical when paired with Latex bondage gloves and a matching fascinator.
